The course provides 6 hrs towards the GDC CPD requirement and is aimed at employers, RPSs (completion of this course enables the person to be appointed as an RPS) and staff who have a dental radiography qualification and therefore independently taking dental radiographs.
Topics discussed include Principles of Radiation Physics, Radiation Doses, Factors affecting Doses, Principles and Practical Techniques of Radiation Protection, Requirements of IRR17 & IR(ME)R2017, Women, Pregnancy and Children and Quality Assurance.
Certification
All delegates successfully completing the course and the assessment will receive a certificate detailing the statutory obligations which have been met.
