Radioactive waste advice

A Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA) must be appointed by all users of radioactive materials that could result in the actual or potential accumulation or disposal of radioactive waste.

A Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA) is a qualified expert who provides advice on the safe and compliant accumulation, handling, storage and disposal of radioactive waste. They provide the guidance needed to ensure compliance with the relevant regulations, thus minimising the risks to the environment, the public and your employees.

Our RWAs assess compliance against the sites permitted activities and advise how best to achieve these.  SGA can provide advice on permit application, variation or surrender; produce environmental impact assessments and Best Available Techniques (BAT).

By appointing SGA’s RWA services you can be assured that you will receive best advice relating to your permit, ensuring your compliance, safeguarding of your staff and the environment.
