World Radiography Day is celebrated internationally on 08 November each year. The date marks the discovery of x-rays by Wilhelm Roentgen in 1895. The week during which the date falls provides an opportunity to spread awareness about radiation therapy and diagnostic imaging, as well as to promote radiography as a career.
On Friday 11 November we attended a Careers Event, celebrating World Radiography Day 2022, at the University of Suffolk. The event provided employers within the industry the opportunity to talk to current and prospective students, promoting careers within the field.
Our team thoroughly enjoyed talking to the students and have hopefully inspired a few to consider becoming future Radiation Protection Advisers.
Special thanks go to the Diagnostic Radiography Team at the University of Suffolk for an extremely well organised day.
